The prologue at Monkey Mountain. I ran hard and had a good run. Snorkel was 16 seconds behind. Actually, Snorkel and a couple of other folks mispunched. Some of the markers were burried a bit and a group went to the wrong control. ST=239.

Chase at Monkey Mountain. The chase was based on your place in the prologue rather than your time. You started 15 seconds after the leader for each place back. I started first, Snorkel (16 seconds behind in the prologue) start 15 seconds after me, Gary T. (a couple of minutes behind in the prologue) started 15 seconds after Snorkel. Snorkel and I were together most of the course. I ran hard and orienteered well. You can see my heart rate curve. ST=247.
I jogged around a bit. I saw an odd guy. He was slowly jogging around the field where the PHHS marching band practices. Every once in a while, he'd raise his hand, keeping his elbow bent at about 90 degrees, and yell "ha jee." It sounded like some sort of marshal arts yell. I caught his eye and waved, he yelled "ha jee" back. Strange.
I ran with Snorkel on the horse trails at Wyandotte. The trails are in great shape. They've recently cleared them (with some sort of bulldozer or something). It has been a dry spring and there haven't been many horses on the trails, so they're in great shape. Unfortunately, I'm not. I felt really unfit as I struggled to stay with Snorkel.
Mean Gene and I did some O' practice at Rochcrusher. We ran a course, taking different routes on most legs and waiting at each control. Most of the control locations had old bits of vetting tape. I'm sure we've run the course before. I'm not sure when. It might have been a couple of years ago when Mook "got cold feet." ST=234
