other 30:00 [1]

My usual PT excercises. I also did a bit of walking -- almost 8 minutes at a slow pace.

Friday Oct 5, 2001 #

other 20:00 [1]

Some PT excercises at home.

Note

The swelling in my left leg has gone down a lot. But, it isn't gone yet. I decided it might be useful to have a baseline that'd help me see when the swelling was going down. I took four measurements of the circumference of my legs. I used a tape measure I found in Mary's sewing room. Just above the knee = 41 cm on the left leg and 38 on the right. At the knee = 41 and 38. Just below the knee at a narrow spot = 36 and 34. At the lower part of the calf = 37 and 35.

PT at the hospital. I got in 15 minutes on the airdyne -- pedalling full cirlces. I also did about 4 minutes of walking (working on technique not speed) on the treadmill. Linda doesn't want me to walk the white course this weekend, though. Instead she wants me to go to a track and do a few minutes of walking at a slow pace but with good technique.

PT at the hospital with Linda. I pedalled a complete circle on the excercise bike. I was happy.

PT at home.

PT at the hospital. Linda (the physical therapist) made it a pretty easy session today. I'll probably do a bit more later this evening.

Sunday Sep 30, 2001 #

other 35:00 [1]

I did my PT excercises while listening to the Nascar race in the background. I seem to be moving pretty well today.
