cycling 45:00 [3]

First leg of the KC Adventure Racers "training race." Most of the route was on roads but there was enough rough stuff that I managed to crash. I smashed my knee a bit. Mean Gene was my teammate.

Second leg of the race. MG was suffering (lack of training) so I wasn't working hard. The course was easy O' but included some add-ons. At one point I was carrying a 12 foot branch up a hill. ST=112.

MG called it quits. I did the final leg of the training race without him. The final leg was mostly single track mountain biking. Technical mountain biking is not my strenght. I spent a lot of time pushing the bike. The mud was also a pain.

running 50:00 [2]

First run since Texas. It felt ok. I threw in ten minutes at an honest effort.

My achilles tendon felt fine today. But, I'll take two or three days off from running as a precaution. I rode the stationary trainer while watching KU-Texas A&M on video.

On the NT while watching the first half of KU-Colorado.

Day 2 at NTOA A-meet. The O' felt pretty good. I boomed one control but otherwise navigated well. My achilles tendon got a bit tight on the drive home. ST=107.
