Orienteering 25:15 [5]

JK relay storthes hall

2nd leg,
Cherry ran well on 1st came in 5th and I went out with Alex carcas (halden) and a couple of others.
Alex ran fast in the easy running and uphill but I got the impression I was better orienteer and though terrain.
Together before the sprint but then he made a gap of 20s in there. (I was wondering now he is in the lead would he miss and let me get past and attack) But overtook pretty much when we was back in the woods.
Caught NOC in the very open woods and realise we was in the lead.
Same pattern of Alex pushing the climbs and me catching/overtaking near controls. I was in the lead 3rd from last control but I got caught in a bit of shit on the way up from the control and Alex was fast up the hill
Came back 2nd 15s down

Matt ran well on last to come back for 2nd in the relay.

Before the race I felt I was the weak member of the team and hoped to do enough for the others to be in the fight. But I was running roughly the same min/km as the other two.

when Matt finished I was clearly the most excited person in the field closely followed by Bazzer. It was great to do well in the race with two of my best mates and for EBOR in Yorkshire

Orienteering 35:00 [4]

JK kilnsey

Wasn't planning on running here at all but a couple of weeks ago I decided it would be fun.
Decided to go out hard to see if I could catch anyone and potential have a good result but always in the back of my mind I thought I'm not going to do it all. After we did what looked like the most fun section (still not great/easy orienteering ) + a really dull long leg I started to look where is best to cut off and realised that where I was was enough

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Down though a few controls to the finish. Not really concentrating

Orienteering 37:15 [4]

JK middle in Wass
This area was a bit unknown even though it's with a 40min drive (that's means it's probably in the top 5 closest map to York) but because EBOR lost permission to use it years ago. That made it really cool, not often that no one in the elite class has run there before.
Turned out to be a great area with 3-4 contrasting area (fast open woods, light green, detailed valley and open top).

I ran well with only two small hesitations in the detail area + and nearly ran to the wrong crossing point between 7-8.
