Pretty good! 1x 45s at no6 then nothing over 20s so fairly pleased. Trying to be a bit more aggressive

Tough terrain but really nice. First proper long race for ages so don't think I got the pacing right, tried push some part but held back quite a bit in other parts so ended still feeling quite strong. But didn't miss anything really so happy about that

10milarepet 1st leg
Gaffling was totally different after no1 never saw the other lot.
Was going really well always in the top few of our pack and leading quite a bit but then after the bridge there was a line that went to no8 and a line that went to no11 .... I orienteered to the wrong one. Gutted

Gaffled intervals. Not pushing too hard
Enjoyed it, good weather, nice area but it was a shame the map was shit and the controls might be in the wrong place near the control or not there at all, to end on positive note sometimes the control was in the correct place

Note

Not feeling as bad today as expected after missing the JK long distence so I'm able to crack on with normal training quicker than originally thought

Knavesmire threshold session
4x 1mile reps (didn't fancy doing more) on the grass bank at the mire. Clockwise then next rep in reverse.
clockwise = 1 long climb, then steep drop, then flat back to the start.
Anti (obviously) = flat then steeper bank then long gradual down hill - this way = 10-15sec quicker

Missed no1 then got together with Rhys. Ran quite fast but with a few misses until no9 where I missed rhys got away, then punch the wrong one (fucking annoyed) rest of the course went well but fell into a pipe of rocks and fucked my knee = grit my teeth and work like fuck to the end to be told I missed no 9 and mp'ed
As you can imagine a few naughty words wer said followed by a good grump
