Lorca Mass Start

Felt tired an my hamstring playing up while jogging my warm up, also had something tight/sore in my back/shoulder so wasnt feeling super up for it, so decided to start like its a race and see how I felt as the race went on

I orienteered pretty well and chugged away and actually was able to get run ok (not great but ok) but still noticed I was leaving the others around me but saw there was a pretty big gap to the group ahead as I chose to a route choice to enger the contor the same way we should leave. The group a head was 90+ secs of mainly EsSu guys so knew I would only catch them if they made a mistake so chose to focus on holding this position and orienteer a little safer and see if there anyone ahead would make a mistake and get caught up and save some energy for the simpler hilly ending

I was pretty much had know you orienteer with from no2 onwards. Gaffeling split us up well followed by a long leg.

But then twisted my ankle leaving the 2nd butterfly. heard a crunch but I dont think its too bad and hope to run tomorrow

Famous "N" course
no mistakes, ran pretty much straight as possible until i lost some confidence to no6 so stayed closer to the big ridge and came down the wider nose. Now I have looked at how other people have run and I decided to ignore the unmapped path to no6 but a lot of people seemed to use it?

Santa palo
probably the most fun training so far on this camp. pretty easy to get to the circle, pretty hard to understand what was a bush and what was a distinct tree.
would not fancy running a race here though

Espoon Suunta Spain training camp

Good session! started with a 5-10min concentration/focus/visualisation/mind warm up type of a thing lead by Petri.
Then into the sand dunes.
a little different to other sand dune terrain that ive been in, smaller/ vaguer contour shapes. The terrain looks very open, big gaps between trees an very little onthe ground but actually lower viserblity because the trees get pretty bushy at eye level.

Vinterserien Alby Söders

Really good area and course, loads of detail and I struggled a bit without my magnifier.
Made a few smaller mistakes (upto 25s) and one bigger 80s at 6 where I thought I was higher than I was, didnt have a full plan of the area.

And my spring fell out the back of my compass twice!!

Mila By Night - Gustavsberg

Went ok, a few smaller mistakes 25-40sec that put a dampener on the race mainly from not being as careful as I should (orienteered to the wrong feature on one control and tried to attack the control from parallel feature at another) but generally ok.
Pretty poor course. With butterflies like this you see who is on your gaffle really easy so I just tried to run up the train and not orienteer on quite a few controls. Better with proper gaffling.
Physically tired in the end and didnt have the mind to fight to hold my position along the path running after no21
