I served as a crossing guard during the St. Louis Track Club's pace run in Forest Park this evening and then while I still had daylight I took my own run.
All of us folks in Forest Park are getting along fine even while there are disturbances surrounding demonstrations in Ferguson after the tragic shooting of the young man by a police officer. The facts aren't out yet about what happened, so I can't make any judgments. However, the shooting was certainly a tragedy, and my sympathy goes out to the family and friends of the young man who was shot and to the police officer and his family.
