running 42:00 [2]

Warm, spring-like day in St. Louis. Temperature at 3:15 p.m. when I went out to run Tower Grove Park is was probably in the low 60s. Major thunderstorm may come in tonight. KC is getting hit now. Temperature at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow is likely to be about 38 degrees F, but it should warm up again on Tuesday. Flash flood watch in southeastern counties of MO.

The forsythia was starting to bloom in the park (but not yet our forsythia probably because our front yard is on the shady side of the street and the forsythia may need more warmth to start blooming). Lots of dogs in the park for me to pet. But I saw the short, older man who had the Great Dane Duke without Duke. It turns out that Duke died Dec. 13 at age 9, which the man says is a very long life for a Great Dane. The man is checking with the Humane Society for a new (large) dog. A Great Dane came in yesterday, but it was already adopted when he phoned today.
