Brown Course of Day 2 of 2007 U.S. Team Trials. Peach Mountain map. 22 minutes behind the Canadian woman (Star) in my 60-64 age category and 20 minutes behind Lynette Walker in an adjacent age group. Hit some controls about the same time as Claire Dell.

Competed in the Sprint O' at Haven Hill in the Highland Recreation Area of the Michigan State Parks. Made a mistake on #3, but I enjoyed the run.

Zan took me out in the woods to teach me some orienteering. This really helped me relate the map and the terrain better. She is really an excellent teacher. It was a glorious day in Michigan. And it was wonderful to be with my kid.

Running with 2-pound heavy hands and resting at benches along the way and stopping for water at fountains along the way in Tower Grove Park. The first 3.5 minutes was walking to warm up.
