We got 6 inches of snow last night and into this morning and a SNOW DAY. So, Rick walked and I went cross-country skiing across Tower Grove Park and to MO Botanical Garden. I wanted more x-country skiing, so on the way there, I went around the back (Alfred Street) of the Garden to the entrance. We rendez-voused at the Sassassafras Cafe for chicken chili. Rick walked around the Garden and then home. I went home as I came (can't x-country ski in the Garden). The sun had come out and it was so pleasant, both ways. Temp in the 20s. Tomorrow will be too cold and we'll be back at school.

Now would someone just tell me how to make up the hour and a quarter class I missed teaching today. It was just as well we had a snow day. Half of the students showing up is problematic. And there would have been lots more accidents on the highways if there were not so many school closings.
