Stopped at Forest Park on my way home from lunch with Rick and Jim from his Peace Corps group. Intended to run, but could only alternate running and walking. But I did manage to run 30 minutes of the hour.

I finally am again able to run to and around Tower Grove Park continuously with only short stops to pet the puppy dogs and stops to drink at water fountains. A couple pounds really makes a difference.

Since I hadn't run for a few weeks since I had a URI, I had to take rests at half miles or miles. But I ran 45 minutes.

Tower Grove Park is in a beautiful spring phase (and different spring phases starting about a month ago and more beauty to come). The red bud trees have progressed from their intense purple, to fluffy light purple, and now are starting to put out the green leaves. The dogwoods are starting to blossom. The daffodils are in their last stages, but a particular kind is now doing its thing. Tulips are going crazy. At the pond I had to look for my special white duck but s/he was there along with lots of geese and mallard ducks. A lovely spring day!
