running 36:00 [2]

Friday Jun 29, 2007 #

running 46:00 [3]

Certainly ran at least 4 miles plus. Preparing for the Fourth of July 4-mile downtown.

Wednesday Jun 27, 2007 #

running 31:46 [2]

Ran Tower Grove Park slowly at about 7:15 am. Pleasant temperature but high humidity.

Monday Jun 25, 2007 #

running 38:00 [2]

Took 32 minutes (slow, as is usual lately) to run Tower Grove Park and then continued running home.

Sunday Jun 24, 2007 #

bicycling 3:30:00 [3]

Rick and I bicycled to Orlando Garden to catch the beginning of Grant's Trail, did the 8 miles of Grant's Trail stopping for a couple hours to tour Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site (his father's-in-law and then his and Julia's home). Finished Grant's Trail in Kirkwood and then rode home through Webster Groves (stopped for some lunch).

running 32:00 [2]

Ran Tower Grove Park.

Friday Jun 22, 2007 #

running 46:00 [3] 4.5 mi (10:13 / mi)

Ran Tower Grove Park slowly so as not to trigger the awful feeling and shortness of breath that comes when I start off fast. Then since I was running slowly, I figured I ought to at least run long. So I continued running around the neighborhood to finish at 46 minutes which is probably close to 4.5 miles. On the Fourth of July the St. Louis Track Club is again sponsoring a run. There was no Fourth of July run last year. This year's will be 4 miles. I had better sign up for it.

Wednesday Jun 20, 2007 #

running 31:00 [2] 3.0 mi (10:20 / mi)

Ran Tower Grove Park tonight after class.

Tuesday Jun 19, 2007 #

running 44:00 [2]

After teaching my evening class I came right home and at about 9:00 pm ran Tower Grove Park and then some. Did more than 4 miles. On July 4 there will be a 4-mile run downtown and I want to be sure I am up to that. Started off slowly this evening so I didn't get that awful feeling I get when I start running from stopped and when I go up stairs and feel winded and my quads feel as if they would like access to some oxygen. Felt pretty much OK tonight running.

Saturday Jun 16, 2007 #

running 30:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Ran the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in downtown St. Louis. Rick ran with me. Did my usual 30 minutes.

Saw some of my survivor friends, St. Louis Track Club friends, and a friend from the choir. And then there were another 64 000 people participating including about 3400 breast cancer survivors.

bicycling 30:00 [2]

Rick and I bicycled to downtown for the Race for the Cure.

bicycling 50:00 [2]

Bicycled after the run from downtown to nearby St. Stanislaus Church, back to 16th & Market, then home. Lovely ride.

Friday Jun 15, 2007 #

bicycling 40:00 [1]

Just some bicycling around the neighborhood before it got really hot.

Thursday Jun 14, 2007 #

walking/running 46:00 [3] 3.5 mi (13:09 / mi)

I walked with Heavy Hands for about 36 minutes part way around Tower Grove Park and then ran with Heavy Hands for 8 minutes, walked 1.5 minutes, and ran 2 minutes.

Wednesday Jun 13, 2007 #

running 32:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:40 / mi)

Left the house at about 9:10 pm and ran Tower Grove Park, my first run in the five days since last Friday when I had the little surgery on my R big toe. It is healing nicely. I am in fine shape for the Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday.

Tuesday Jun 12, 2007 #

bicycling 48:00 [2]

Starting at 9:06 pm I bicycled around Tower Grove Park and twice around the exterior of Shaw's Garden. It was lovely out.

Friday Jun 8, 2007 #

running 30:00 [2]

Ran Tower Grove Park this morning before having the teeny little surgery on my right big toe. It was not too hot this morning after a bit of rain early in the morning. The big storms went south of St. Louis.

Thursday Jun 7, 2007 #
