I was a course monitor for the X-country series today and it was really hot. So instead of running the course, I jogged out to my assigned spot and did a little hill interval loop until the runners came by. Managed to get in 7 reps of a loop that took about 2 minutes.

Independence Day 5k in Santa Clarita. I felt really good during this race. I feel like I might have been able to keep a slightly higher pace if I really wanted to. One of the things I love about this course is that it's barefoot friendly and lined with parade watchers, so I get a lot of shout outs from folks impressed with my barefoot running.
