Orienteering race 15:55 [5] 3.6 km (4:25 / km) +60m 4:05 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X Talon 190

Solid run, didn't start off very well. Went under the bridge at number2, the control was on top of it, so had to run around. Lost like 20 secs, then maybe the wrong route choice to 9. Then just lhesitations in the terrace it's.

Came thru the spectator control and heard I was in The best time thru there., it really good motivation, and eventually came into the finish in the lead. Was winning JWOC for like 20 minutes untilmarek minar came into the finish.

Last individual race at JWOC ever, so had to have a good one. :)

Orienteering 36:34 [3] 3.6 km (10:09 / km) +120m 8:42 / km

A Final, pretty terrible race. GPS pretty much shows it, physically quite and couldn't' focus.

Orienteering race (middle) 25:14 [5] **** 3.3 km (7:39 / km) +90m 6:44 / km

Yes Please!!!!! :D

Pretty solid race, definitely my best ever race in a jwoc middle quali. Just stayed calm the whole way, and pushed hard all the way to the end. Pretty much stayed in contact, or close enough, the whole way. Still being sick, so not feeling physically great could have been a positive. I couldn't' run fast enough to make a massive mistake. I started off well and was glad to see quite a lot of the course on the easier and muchless rocky side of the ridge.

Was really smooth thru the first 5. I didn't do the crossing of the ridge very well, went straight to a massive cliff, where I couldn't cross. So went like fifteen metres left and down there, then made a parallel error into the controll running down the wrong corridor of white but figured it out pretty quickly. 7 I used compass and the green patch close to the control pretty well. 8 was chilled with the open area.

Lost time to 8, 9, 10 and 11 on the routes, dropping too low every time. The rest was really chilled, using all the tracks made by previous runners.

Then just completely smashed it to the finish, 2 easy controls and finish control. Knew I'd had a decent run so didn't want to miss an A final by a few seconds, beat the Portuguese guy by a second, and there were some good runners who didn't make it.

Pretty happy that I made it. Really scary that 18 seconds slower and I wouldn't have made it. Tomorrow a perfect run, I have to for GPS

JWOC Long,

pretty solid race, my nav was decent, my route choices not so much, also got sick last nite, so not enough sleep, my resting heart rate is high 80's at the moment, at least not hard to get it up ;)

puched too hard at the start, didn't pace myself well at all, was ahead of tim by 6 minutes after 8 controls, then made a mistake and just died after that, couldnt even try and follow faaster guys coming past.

GPS tracking is so legit! http://germanmaster.traclive.dk/events/event_20130...

just need to put it behind me and focus on the next events at least the long is over with!
