PTA Boys Sprint,

Knew where the controls were and had been on the map and seen the courses before, wasn't even punching, was just touching the controls and still got destroyed! Mike dominated me by over a minute, I was faster than Tim by three seconds, so I know had I been racing today he would have beaten me for the first time on a sprint.

So with all that, I think it's time for some serious cramming for SA Champs in 4 weeeks...

Day 1 of training for Northern Farms...

Rode out onto the fort klapperkop trails. After about a hundred metres of riding on tracks I'd nearly bailed twice. Was loads of fun on the downhills, especially as only my back breaks work. Had to walk a lot of the up hills cos my pedal broke and I'm shit at cycling. Saw a guy riding a horse, asked him if we could swap.

Overall quite embarrassing, but loads of fun on some sections. Probably could have run most of it faster.

Saw Red Hartebeest, Wildebeest and Zebra.

Pretty Awesome Long Event

Messed up early on so got caught by 3 minutes by Brian, Its always hard to get away in South African terrain,we were together from 7 to 23, on the way to 20 I planned on just sticking behind him until 23 where I'd attack and try pull three minutes back. Was pretty much like tour de france. ha ha

So Brian's gone 2 - 0 up on the last two events. Maybe getting beaten is the motivation I need for SA Champs.

Did the trail from the top to the other entrance of klapperkop, pretty much 6 x 3 minutes pretty tough!!

Water stone college Sprint

Easy course lost time on 1 and 12, one cos it took me a while to adjust the map to north, 12 cos a gap was actually closed, so max time loss was lik 20 secs, pretty much a running course tho, luckily mike wasn't here, and glad I beat Tim.

Need to get motivated to train properly. Got SA Champs and then Big 5 to train for.
