Marshalled in the middle of the river leg to dissuade people for cutting the course short and turning back too early. Policeman Plod seemed to work!

First control a bit of a search in the area with Tania. 2 was fine. 3 I took the road mostly to the west to pass the water. Long hot and I was pretty much finished by the time I got there. 4 and 5 were fine, then was confused looking 7 on the map but being only halfway to 6. Then 6 and 7 were OK 8 an awful plod up the hill. Did the rest of the controls with Alison. Hopefully I will feel better when it is cooler tomorrow.
