Orienteering race 29:18 [5] *** 3.51 km (8:21 / km) +20m 8:07 / km
shoes: New Balance All Terrain

GOC Relay at Boksburg. Nico had flu so I took his position on the RACO A team. We didn't want to disturb our Vets team. Brad kept in sight of Jeremy (making fewer errors) so I was second to start the second leg. Did my best to keep going but was just too slow and was passed by Derek, Dylan and Glynn. Paul ran the last leg and passed the two RACO vets teams but was passed by Nicholas. So we ended 4th by just 2 seconds.

Running race 2:19:00 [5] 21.1 km (6:35 / km) +20m 6:33 / km vdot: 30.6
shoes: New Balance 404

Ran the Chamberlain's half marathon this morning. Very nice course being a 2 lapper with a gradual climb with a few descents to stretch the legs. First 12k I ran very comfortably but by 15k my legs were complaining. Had to walk run to the finish. Was pleased with the race as it was the longest for a long time.

Orienteering 20:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance 404

Training at Wits. Drawing the line routes was extremely difficult. Especially as the routes did not make Orienteering sense as they did not take the quickest route! Made 6 mistakes including a 200m shortcut. Guess we need to spend more time reading maps and simplifying them.
