5K time trial-I have no speed- Felt hard enough- but there just wasn't any other gear left to shift into. Still a satisfying run to gauge my current fitness level. Vo2 has Improved since the 10k TT in February. I imagine I'd have had more even splits on a track.
lots of respect for Marc today- at 62 years old he ran 19:57- I've got my work cut out for me.

Slogged it on home- feeling rough and tired.

Super easy tour of Bain- Really had to hold back the pace to keep it in "recovery" zone. Beautiful morning for a run.

9:03 AM. Easy run.

Mostly a terrain run- chose trails and ran on the grassy shoulder if possible. Went off into the pine forest by the mill, for a refreshing forest bath. Fun run, HR was a bit higher at given speeds, and legs didn't feel totally fresh today, despite the two days of rest.
Left toe had been bothering me for the last week or so, and got progressively worse- took two days off of running and still got worse- so I treated myself for gout- sure enough- next morning no pain. Should have thought of that earlier.

Great run on a slightly different course than last Sunday. Had intended to go easy, and didn't start looking at my watch until after the first big hill. The pace was set and dialed in at that point. Slowing down was not an option. Surprised how easy it felt.
