Procedure for Tuesday morning was canceled. Insurance co's won't pay enough to make it attractive for hospitals/surgery centers to provide the service so they've stopped. There is something wrong with a system that force surgery-alternative treatments off the market for financial reasons.

The steroid injection has knocked down the bursa inflammation so DC says running should be ok. Just need to be aggressive with stretching an rolling to keep the calves and achilles as loose as possible.

Note

While the Glute Med has completely healed, the Achilles problem has not. Been diagnosed with Haglund's Deformity in the right heel. Basically, abnormal bone growth on the back of the calcaneus.

Currently, it's a small bone spur and will try to treat with a round of TENEX on Aug 29 to break up the bone spur.

Left side is mildly painful. Likely same issue is developing on that side. If so, another TENEX procedure in October.

TENEX recovery is short so I hope that works.

If the problem progresses, major surgery is required with a 6 month recovery window (2-4 months non-weight bearing) for EACH side.
