Trail Running race 6:30:00 [4]
shoes: Montrail Nitrous

Finish the trek...we slept 1.5 hours during the time in the field. Good nav and fun decision making. Cyril did very well.

Mt Biking race 4:46:00 [4] 54.0 km (5:18 / km)

I knew we were in trouble when I looked back at Cyril and he was riding his bike with one eye open and he said," we are like 10K past the road we are supposed to take [insert laugh here]", so we struggled through the first couple of trails and then worked our way in for some ice cream and champagne....great race!

Approaching the big trek...hot and a couple more flats but nothing that kept us down..we fought teh sleepmonster a bit on this ride.

Trail Running race 14:00:00 [4]

Trail Running race 3:11:00 [4] 20.0 km (9:33 / km) +656ft 9:06 / km
shoes: Montrail Nitrous

Beautiful run through the rain forest after mid camp and a big sleep. Another good split and things are starting to look up as we finally passed the teams toting their camper stoves and mashedes (sp?)

Mt Biking race 5:26:00 [3] 100.0 km (3:16 / km)
shoes: Sidi Dominator

Cool ride through the sugar can fields...smells were excellent, except for Rinn's BO. We did encounter a ~90 year old woman who had fallen on the side of the road and stopped and helped her. It was very surreal as she was very bloody and had fallen, we thought she was hit by a truck but she assured us that she was not. She tried to explain to us that she was on her way to her sons and wanted to get walking again, she could not stand on her own...timing was impeccable of one of the logistics vehicles as after 15 minutes of helping her a truck came by that took her to her sons house. We expected it to be around the corner, but we saw the truck dropping her off about 5 K down the road...good dead for the day.

Kayaking race 4:53:00 [4] 28.0 km (10:28 / km)

Cool paddle along a river with 2 Weirs in it that we needed to portage around. Very scenic. Some peeps saw crocs but we did not.
