Kings Canyon Rim Walk - great walk, a mini Bungle Bungles. Alternative after Uluru Climb closed ("Strong Winds at Summit" - BOM said 15-20kmh tending light midday. Yes it was a bit breezier at the climb base but really? Understand that under the modern landowner system landowners have the right to exclude access but flimsy reasons like this seem calculated to cause frustration. Payback I guess for all the bad things done by settlement in the last couple of hundred years).

Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta (Olgas). Alternative after Uluru climb closed ("Rain Forecast" - BOM said 20% chance of less than 1mm - gauge said 0mm although it did spit a few drops now and again all day).
L Knee hyperextended just after the first lookout so beat a retreat.

A few rest days this week - hopefully the left knee pain will settle down. It was quite surprising on the weekend, particularly Saturday when the old zip was back and I was running pretty much pain free. Maybe it’s a mental thing? The left knee was certainly sore and non-functional (limping) just over a week ago after Orroral. So how exactly did it recover and the pain disappear? Still a bit painful today just walking. Maybe I should go for a race somewhere?
