Last day at the snow. Windy, snowing. Good fun. 1095 vertical metres. Lesson early with Victor doing parallel turns. Now fairly comfortable on blue runs.
Massive cold/flu hit home pm after quite a few days of sniffles.

Useless lesson am; we were given a test beside the magic carpet to see who could turn. Then they split us into two groups. I made the top group, but so did a woman who then refused to go up in the chair lift because it was too scary. I went up with another for whom it was the first time. Later, the first woman fell off the pommel, and then fell again after about 50m of the actual slope. At this point the instructor took over and the rest of the session was basically one-on-one with him towing her downhill holding onto his poles. Until she quit completely at the halfway point. I also fell twice using this guys different technique to yesterdays (tilt on bended knees till the edges go in).
Better later as we headed to meet Andy and Ella at Blue Cow. Pity about Aoifes face plant on the way back.

Lessons (skis have changed since the early 1970s). A couple of good sessions with Chris, who took us over to Blue Cow with Aoife pm. Learned about big toe, little toe. That fixed my problem from last year (couldn't get the uphill ski turned).

Skiing at Smiggins. Did a lot of races off the magic carpet with Aoife. Took it pretty easy.

Short on time, so heavier springs. Basics on 3.75 (all). Legs, arms, single legs, scooters (70) on 2. Slidies on 1.75.
