spiked:15/15c weight:74.5kg shoes: VJ Bold

Tank Paddock, Minmi. NOL 7, Long Okm 6.2km/. Solid effort, no DOMS, but not exactly smoking either. Went quite wide for 4. Track to 5 and 11, but took a while to decide for 11. Couldnt see the ruin for a while at 6. Careful and slow into 8. No actual mistakes, as such - probably 30 seconds going the wrong side of the ruin at 6 was the worst.

Back out and ran with Aoife on the last part of the VE. She did a really good finish split - self prompted: just one second slower than me (22s).

A group this week! Good effort up Akuna East ( 10:35 ), not so crash hot on McCarrs(8:56). Dave Hatley gave us a good lead out for the Snives nasty hill. Andy on form today.

Biannual session at West Chatswood. Quite a bit slower than two years ago. Hopefully got through it without injury. Pretty slow jog back to the car after. Was going to do 8, but then 10 looked possible, but quit after 9.
400m x 9 (1 min). 91.1, 92.8, 90.5, 92.1, 89.2, 90.4, 90.6, 89.6, 90.2. (average 90.7).
Actually, make that triennial, the last session was in 2012. That was a bit faster (83.3) but had longer recoveries and I only managed 7. Had severe DOMS for a couple of days after and tore my achilles 10 days later. So hopefully that won't happen this time. The DOMS are there, but not as bad. I think.
