MTB Orienteering race 1:23:51 [4] 21.53 km (3:54 / km) +504m 3:29 / km
weight:74.9kg (sick)

Western Sydney Parklands: The Dairy, Course 1. (GPS climb 344m). Probably a bit much given the cold/flu. Still coughing gunk this morning. Felt pretty good during the race, no problem breathing. Just a little tired on hills. The O was sloppy though. Took the wrong track on the way to 3 (-2 mins). Rode past 5 (-1:10). Wrong route 5-6 (-1) and 13-14 (-1). Couldn't see the flag at 3 and 18 (-20s each). So lost 5:50 in avoidable mistakes.

At home. Cold seems a bit better, less gunk.

Note

EDIT: They postponed the event because it has been too wet.

Still tempted to run the City Mile Dash tomorrow, despite the cold. Just not sure that 9 days rest is enough; this feels like the annual 3 week+ cold that I get. However the lethargy of last weekend has gone and breathing isn't affected too much, at least during the day.

Tough session. Mat - usual 4 x 50 clams (1.5 kilos) with lying down bicycle and magic circle in between. Fives - 50 each on 3.25 springs. 120 hundreds. 30 arms on 2 springs. Cold - slight improvement but sinus and chest still blocked and productive.
