Holmsville, Sprint, M50, 2nd. Stuffed up 13 even though I'd seen it on my way to 10, and then had difficulty getting in to 14.

MTB Orienteering race (NSW Champs) 53:16 [4] 13.23 km (4:02 / km) +138m 3:50 / km

Pelaw Main, Middle, M50, 2nd. My favourite race, a great challenge. Not muddy and the rain held off, so good conditions. Lost 2 minutes on the last control - got to the circle, didn't recognise the track junction, so stopped 25m short and decided I had to check the finish to see where I was. So went to the Finish, and then back to where I had been +25m further.
Had a different mechanical issue to this morning - after a while I had real difficulty clipping out, resulting in a few tweaks and one fall.

MTB Orienteering race (NSW Champs) 1:46:16 [4] 22.49 km (4:43 / km) +276m 4:27 / km

Holmsville. Long, M50, 5th. OK ride, but difficult conditions with the mud, which I am not good at. Lost the middle chain ring a third of the way around, so switched to the small chain ring - and then my cleats clogged up around two-thirds, so had real difficulty clipping in.
Dropped from 3rd to 4th after losing 1 minute on the easy last control and then dropped a further place to 5th after losing 30 seconds on the crazy run-in.

Parramatta. Nice sprint map style. Conservative route choice due to hamstring, which freed out over the course. Still got 590, enough to wrap up the Series.
