Just in case there is anybody who thinks the GPS is accurate, I had the GPS in the same position for the whole session (on the handlebars) so that I could measure my heartrate.

So, OK the signal probably wasn't very good as I was in the carport, but the device did pick up the satellites in there in the first place.
