State League #5, M50, 3rd to GrantM. Knee wasn't as good as I thought it was and felt a bit sore throughout. Fitness terrible after the last month out, so basically just bumbled along. Very slow in the green around 3 and 4 - that section took 12 minutes all up, mostly walking. Lost 4 minutes at #12 - I'm guessing the GPS will show the flag was on an unmapped feature, or that I found an unmapped feature bigger than the cliff the flag was on. Wonder which.
*edit* OK, so it was debatable - I would argue that the 2nd cliff I got to was unmapped, but there is a very small cliff in the vicinity on the map, so debatable. The GPS did show that I went in totally the wrong direction (W) from my attackpoint (not NW), so its down to my own error.

Macquarie Uni Sprint Distance. Made one of the biggest mistakes of my sprint O career - a full minute. Followed a familiar pattern - tried to push on an easy uphill leg and so didn't plan ahead. First error was to take the easy around route in the first place, straight was quicker and would have given me the only exit from 8. As it was the around route had roadworks and I was concentrating on avoiding stop go men and machinery. Still no excuse, so when I left 8 I went on the red line into a walled garden. Back out and didn't see the good exit so right around past the roadworks again. Later, missed the quick shortcut through the car park at 11-12, probably about 15 seconds. Ezy and Craig gained on me slowly from 10-11 and caught me at 14. Stayed with Ian for a couple and then dropped off near the end.

Still, ran well considering f all training since Easter and the knee wasn't sore at all, so should be on the mend.
