Scrappy on the early controls. Had to walk lots of the hills. Lost 2 minutes plus on no. 10, tried to go one way, but bailed when I couldn't find one of the tracks - back out and around.

From Claremont to E freo with the CRT fast group (Rowan, Big Andrew, Two Speeds Andrew). Took a turn on Stirling Bridge and couldn't get over the hill. Stuck with the Riders Choice Slow Group until Rogaining Andrew's group came past at Heathcote. Pretty intense to stay with them, thought the worst was over after Shelley, but got dropped just after the bridge on the first hill. Got back on at the lights and then they caught up to CRT fast on Manning Rd! Rowan treated us to a special, getting on to the Exmouth Cooked Prawn's truck at 60kmh and sailing past us.

Broadwalk hills with Cath. 3 x 680m 3.01 (4.40) 2.54 (5.25) 2.56. Pretty good, but room for improvement.

Light easterly. 11 mins to RR, 55 to Raffles. Felt a bit stronger. Good pace, but had to solo on bike path and wait at narrows.

Cold start, and not many showed up, so the Chase Group decided to start with us and go off the front at Swanbourne. I closed the gap to them, but that put me in to the red zone and I cracked on col du Cottesloe, sat up and waited for the normal group. Got over the hills in the group this time.
Note: started Glucosamine-Chondritin-MSM last night. Apparently can't do any harm and may have therapeutic effect on my dodgy knees.
