Teering race (WA Champs) 1:30:00 [4] *** 6.1 km (14:45 / km) +265m 12:07 / km
spiked:10/17c shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw 270

Mt Dale. Day 2. Thick and steep. Some good route choice legs particularly 2-3 (Rachel left 18mins, Kellie Right 27mins, Eoin straight 30mins), but the course overall was spoilt by control placement with the flags generally hidden. That turned average control site selection into total bingo controls where finding the flag was dominated by luck.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw 270

Mostly to the start.

Mt Dale. Day 1. Worked out halfway to no. 1 that Craig who had started at the same time probably had the same one as he was going the same direction. So applied turbo, which doesn't work very well uphill and got there first, just. Next one was easy, due N through green and no. 3 was good too. Phil Taylor beat me to 4 going back through the start where I went left. Probably lost 30 seconds going around the wrong side of the rocks. Lucky with 5 as I found the control before I found my attack point. Went way left on 6 and actually came past 7 on the way to it. Hit 8 staright on, was a bit left on 9, got stuck in green like everyone else on the way to 10 and hit that track too far N (-0.40).

Innov8 MudClaw 270s went OK, nice grip, light. The lower laces were a bit loose, so didn't have full control and they tended to twist.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw 270

Have been fighting off a cold/allergic reaction (hence no ride Thu). Taking Echinacea and Vitamin C. But felt pretty good in the warm up.

Cottesloe put on a show today - a double rainbow; which meant we had to wait till Mosman Park to get pissed on. Tooms gave a bit of a lead out; another sprint win but uncontested.
