8 PM

Walk 2:30:00 [2] 6.66 km (22:31 / km) +347m 17:52 / km
(injured)

Alma, Morocco. Foot was much improved this morning and for most of the walk, say 7/10. Then slipped coming down the last hill and gave it a good wrench. So its sore just sitting now again (3/10). More Voltaren.

Orleans. Looking for a decent coffee. Didn't find one.

Walk 28:29 [2] 2.01 km (14:12 / km) +9m 13:54 / km
(injured) shoes: Saucony Hurricane 15

Wet walk between train stations in Paris. Managed to punch a pigeon at Notre Dame - it flew close to me and I was waving it away but clenched my fist and connected!
Foot terrible; the 37 hour travel door-to door didn't agree with it.

Note

NSW Senate election. I got a postal vote so I've been looking at the preference flows.

Unfortunately it looks like the sixth senate seat in NSW (Lib 2, ALP 2, Nat 1 are sure) is going to be between the Nationals, the Greens or the Christian Right (One Nation or LDP).
So its a choice between cruelty to refugees vs. shutdown the mining industry vs. delusion.
I have the luxury of voting below the line, numbering from 1 to 110 in order without making a mistake so as my vote counts. For those seeking an easy above the line single digit vote here are the safe options:
Green = R (Green), M (ALP), E (Voluntary Euthanasia), K (Future Party), AF (Democrats), AK (Stop CSG), AM (Socialist Alliance), AO (Pirate Party) and AP (Secular Party)
Nationals = F (unnamed), H (Carers Alliance), Y (Lib/Nats), AE (Socialist Equality*!), AG (unnamed), AQ (Australian Motoring).

Going above the line for the other 30 groups will most likely be a vote for One Nation or possibly the LDP.
*Note - Socialist Equality have split their preferences three ways, but the biggest flow is to the National candidate.

Core Stability 25:00 [1]

At home, icing foot - still sore to walk on, swollen.

Teering race (State League) 54:49 [4] *** 6.39 km (8:35 / km) +169m 7:35 / km
spiked:10/12c weight:78kg (injured) shoes: Inov8 XTalon 190

Rocky Falls, Mullions Range SF, SL10, M55, 1st. Tentative start through the pine forest and then started motoring. All going well till just on halfway when I tripped over a vine or branch and went flying. As I went down my right foot twisted out. Hopped/jogged/walked the rest of the course in pain (almost as short as going directly back). Couldn't effectively drive off, or even really weight bear, on right foot. Had a lead of 5:22 when I fell, which eroded to a narrower margin of 2:27 by the finish - I was helped by the big mistakes and injury-riddling of my competitors.
Verdict: sprain of the joint between two of the bones on top of my arch. Nothing obviously broken. EDIT: it was broken.

Roseberg State Forest, Garland, SL9, M55, 1st. Wayward on lots of the controls, didn't have control on my direction. All my fault bar one where the contours are a bit iffy (was contouring to go below a group of rocks but went above them, so dropped and ended up way too low for the control).

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km) +50m 6:09 / km

Curl Curl. 5th. Ran off the map, straight past a control on a path. But I wasn't the only one! Only lost 2:10 which is a surprise. I was leading Peter Annetts by 7 seconds at number 9, but he lost 17 minutes on that leg to 10!

Dropping further behind the group. 1 ride a week doesn't cut it, and there were no mechanicals this week (unless you count 1 dropped chain and waiting 5 minutes for Gunter).

Centennial Park. Lost some serious time, in the context of a fast run, at 2, 4 and 7 - 30 seconds each. The first two were bumbling in the circle, no 7 was a bad route choice. Happy enough with the speed (~4:45 per km in steady state running) and the absence of last weekends phantom cold.

Eventor finally produced a disappointing result list (no splits, no AP, no RG, lots of affiliations wrong):
