Lane Cove NP. Goal was to get over 30 kmh, and succeeded - thanks to no wind and good road surface. Happy with that considering the climb.

Note: finding Geology jobs is a lot easier these days than when I was looking even ones in Sweden!

(injured)

So, got the X-ray results: it isn't the achilles! It is a degenerative cyst (hole) at the base of the tibia (inside the ankle). Causes pain on impingement. "Do not Run", which is great advice a week ahead of Easter. Still, what extra damage can I do?

Bobbin Head via Pacific Hiway. 13:49 for the climb. Missed the Bobbin Head cycle which was this am, but they still had the "watch for cyclists" signs up, which was good.

Akuna Bay. Brilliant day for it. Had a tail to the top of McCarrs Ck Rd then he went clockwise and I went anticlockwise. 25 minutes later I came back to there and he was about 30 seconds ahead. Caught up at the Terry Hills lights at which point he took off like a scalded cat and popped me on the next small hill. Lights and repeat, except I led most of the way to the notorious St Ives hill where I popped big time, losing a minute. Caught him again at the lights and this time got away behind a B-double.

Getting concerned and may have to tick the injured box soon. L achilles getting sorer - or is it in the heel? And recently the L knee has gone bung as well: strange pain on the outside - can even feel it walking.

Worked hard. Lots of niggles and aches at the moment since the Sprint and Summer Series (for me) finished. Amazing that I could get through 30 odd events without a real problem and as soon as it stops my legs just get worse and worse.

Cycling 1:45:00 [3] 46.84 km (2:15 / km) +815m 2:04 / km

Mt Kuringai-Bobbin Head. Spent a km up Bobbin behind a NSCC guy slow motion pedalling in the big chain ring and 13 cog, before I popped.

Mort Bay Dock, Birchgrove (Balmain), really tricky. 3rd. Lost 1:35 in mistakes or stopped reading the map but that was a lot less than most people. Managed to snag 3rd with no split faster than 4th.

I think they got the symbol sizes wrong (too small) though. I did check at one stage to see if I wasn't on a 1:10,000. And it was the longest of quite a few "Long Sprints" we've had recently.
Pity the series is over, it's been really good overall and apart from the two mps and the first one where I was stuffed from the 5 days I've had a pretty good series:
15, 10, 2, 5, 3, 4, mp, mp, 6, 3

Cycling 1:15:20 [3] 33.2 km (2:16 / km) +509m 2:06 / km

Lane Cove NP. Rain, wet roads, but quiet - only had cars in the last 5 minutes because they don't open the gates till late. Did have lots of roller skiers though. Managed to get up the hill to home without engaging granny gear, I think thats a first.
