First BAOC Local Event Woot!

Forgot to start my watch until midway through, but here is the second half of my route (the more interesting part at least).

For a first experience in BAOC is was definitely was a good one! Saw my first rattlesnake, got my socks filled with random sticky seeds, slid down an entire hillside, fell around 500 times, and fought through a 300ft wide thicket of poison oak (okay that last one didn't happen).

Overall felt very good about this course. It wasn't too technical, but the short loop sections were a nice way to make sure my compassing and orienteering skills were still at a good level.

Here are the results.

Wow! Went to the Arizona Garden which was in the middle of a really pretty park! I'm going to run there more often when I need to do a short run because there is a lot of very open parkland to run through.

Also there was the Leland Stanford tomb which was AWESOME!!! It was made of this super clean cut marble and looks really nice.

And the Angel of Grief grave was soooooooooo cool, there is so much awesome stuff to find in just the campus alone.

Decided to use the spin machine at the gym to see how I was feeling physically. Biking was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I felt pretty good during and afterwards so hopefully I recover soon.
