Parkrun at Ginninderra. Not the flashest run of the year but fairly steady. Got smashed by some ring-in in the M55-59 group who was under 20 minutes. Had a bit of a tussle with a fellow over the last km but he was speeding up and slowing down, and when he decided to speed up at the end he was gone. Huge PB by MaryMac today - well done, and it is all down to her fancy new watch. That, and some consistent training lately.

A quick pre-beer run from the bus stop on Belconnen Way near ANU, through the uni to drop my backpack in the car then did some extra around the southern end of the uni - some sprint O routes without a map.

Lunchtime run from work. Started with Gerrard and Jeremy for the first bit up to Belconnen Way and then along to Calvary. I branched off and did a loop out through the bush to the GDE underpass near the AIS athletics track then on some single track on Bruce Ridge for a while. Back under the GDE then up past the bogong moth sculptures. Finished back over the top of Gossan and then followed the CCT for a bit.

From work out on the bike path to the Cook saddle. Gerard and Jeremy had started out just before me so I followed along behind but assumed they would disappear into the distance. They didn't, and I eventually caught them around the back of Aranda Hill. At the GDE underpass we headed up the hill but I dropped back a bit. Headed off along the flat then bumped into Rob Jessop and Dave coming the other way so I joined them and ran a reverse of where I had come, plus an extra loop at the bottom of Aranda Hill. A nice chat about JWOC and how hard and green the long distance course was - even the Kiwis were shattered by it.
