Orienteering 45:38 [3]

Well I knew this would be my best chance for the weekend.

Took it nice and easy through the first five controls, checking my direction on exit of control, all of a sudden on my way into control 3, see Ricky to my left, I spotted the control and tip toed like a little mouse away from Ricky, small little mistake inside into the control circle at 4, long leg to 6 took the more direct route as I feared I would not keep up with ricky and had to be more aggressive and used him as a guide.

My fitness came into play on the way to 10 but clean into the control, 11 overshot slightly but only lost a handful of seconds, but exit of the control lead to a mistake at control 12. 2 mins lost.....

14 up the hill killed me and lost a small amount of time again inside the circle.

17 got my direction sorted across the paddock and decided to take the safer down the creek and around approach

18 should have trusted myself and run hard but stopped once or twice to check the map.

Clean for the rest of the course, maybe should have climbed early out of 19 as i went under the first cliff and thus throught the green but the running was okay.

Could not get to the control in front of Daniel Eves who I was only behind by 10 secs at control 20, got in front but surged everytime into the control.

Happy with this run.

Not a bad effort, little to much climb towards 3, lost time at control 9 due to exit at control 8, little to far south control 16 but corrected quickly, lost 3 -4 mins at control 21.
