DVOA EVENT- HIBERNIA: Green Course
11.15am: a strong wind so chilly. The ground had some slush, ice and mud in a number of places so glad I had spikes. A good course by Wyatt as the vegetation still being open meant the opporunity to take a lot of direct route choices, so used it as a chance to hone up on the rough compass skills and rough map reading to ensure on track. Executed reasonably well so happy. Would like to get my fitness up to doing this at greater speed, but regardless had fun which is the most important factor.

9.30am: Savored the moment of Pi Day at 3.14.15-9.26.58 then went for a wet slog along the river, train tracks closed so had to back track. I think I am possibly the most unfit I have been in about 5 years. A real plod along the river. Now the cold weather is hopefully past for this winter, time to get out running more often.
