Orienteering race 1:18:44 [5] 12.0 km (6:34 / km) +315m 5:48 / km

NSW Long Champs

Started off poorly, but got going on the first danger leg to 5, and navigated in well. Things then went badly wrong as poor direction out of the control, and minimal map contact saw me find control 8 before 6, which would have cost me at least 4 minutes. Quite dejected after this, and plodded along slowly for the next few, but could see a few people ahead in the paddock, which got me moving a bit. Nice final section through the rock, just a shame there wasn't any more of it.

Orienteering race 1:10:17 [5] 8.0 km (8:47 / km) +380m 7:06 / km

Easter Day 3

Started off the day on the same time as Lachlan Hallett, but was being chased down. Took the wrong route to 2, and was caught by the first butterfly loop. Tried to get away a few times, but failed.

Run warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Easter Day 2

Not really feeling great at the start, and was very slow through the firs 5 controls. Nearly got caught by the people starting 2 and 4 minutes behind. Made the decision to push it a bit harder, and would have got away on the long leg to 6, but wandered down the wrong gully. Spent the next km catching back up, and then another few km trying to break away, but some small errors allowed them to catch back up, but finally got away on the way to 16.

Happy to get back the 4 minutes plus a few extra.
