Sprint in Gap. Actual distance ran 4.4 km. Typical old town sprint with lots of narrow curvy streets and walls. Not quite as complicated as other old towns, but still a lot of fun. Generally did OK. Came in 5th of 9, but only 1:42 behind the winner, or about 6% longer. Probably biggest error was not seeing the subterranean tunnel between 16 and 17. Even back at the hotel with good light and a magnifying glass, it is hard to see the parallel dotted lines indicating the tunnel, particularly since there are 3 or 4 other parallel lines all clustered together in that region. Probably a lot of people didn't see it either. However, when punching at 17, I saw people coming through, so figured it must be a passage. I used the tunnel going from 18 to 19, although the better choice was probably to swing around to the south and west and then head back north once out of the courtyard.
I was getting tired at the end. My right knee ached this morning, so I imagine it will be worse tomorrow. However, I have 48 hours of rest, since my start on Thursday isn't until 5:20 pm.
