Morgan Territory. One of my favorite venues, even though the terrain is very familiar. Still managed to make a couple of errors, one foolish (read the control description for 11 instead of 10, so ended up scouring a reentrant instead of some small rocks just out of the reentrant. Lost about 4 minutes there. Then on 4, went around the hill instead of straight, didn't have a good attack point, and ended up too high wandering through the manzanita. Lost 7 minutes there. Otherwise a good and fun run. Caught up to Carp at 4, and we went back and forth for the rest of the race. He had not made a significant error on 10, but caught him just before the penultimate control. I think I might be in a little better shape than he is, which surprises me, since he was always very strong. He has had bad degenerative joint disease in his big toes, so it hurts him to run, and does not run or orienteer much anymore.
