Felt pretty good yesterday, so decided to go to work today. However, when I woke up, my vision was a little blurrier than yesterday, and my eyes a little scratchy and itchy. Worked for about 2 hours, but was really straining to see, and decided it was not a good idea to continue, so came home.

Meanwhile, I was panicked, and emailed my opthalmologist, but got a message saying he was on vacation until Aug 5. However, about an hour later got a message saying not to worry, as vision fluctuates for several weeks after surgery, and that artificial tears might help. Went to the drugstore, and got some. As soon as I put them in, my eyes felt better and vision improved.

Joaquin Miller advanced course. Good use of map. Still problem with the large flat area with numerous trails which I call the Twilight Zone. Bingo area. 2 errors. 23 I didn't go west enough along trail because I thought I saw the sharp trail bend. Instead it was the gentle trail bend. At the GO control, saw the 2 markers with Peter Graube ahead of me. It looked like he was done as he just walked slowly away. I thought it was the finish with the typical 2 units and I had missed the control, but didn't bother to check the number. Circleld around and came back and this time checked the number on the units and it was the GO control. Was getting very tired at the end, and could not even jog the downhills.
