Course 3B of sprint, my first of tournament, paired with Gavin. Bad run. Did a 180 at the start, then couldn't get into map. Took 8 minutes to get to first control, probably a 7 minute error. Then decided to walk the course as I was still jet lagged. Did OK then.

Course 1B of Joaquin Miller sprint tournament, my second run, paired with Marie-Josee. Lots of trail running. About 45 seconds after the start, I felt a pain in my left calf, and the tear in my gastroc that I got in Paris last week retore, so I walked the rest of the course. I overshot one control by about 30 meters, but otherwise clean course.

Ran loop through Luxembourg Garden. Was feeling good. Lots of runners. Only about half of them passed me and I passed the other half. But when I got almost back to Place Monge, I felt a twinge in my left calf. Must have retorn it. Chronic injury came back. Perhaps I was running too fast.
