Running 1:26:00 [3] 16.8 km (5:07 / km)

Went out to Honeysuckle and played with Florence while Grace may or may not have tested one of my courses from the #PulpACTMiddleChamps. On the way home, she dropped me at Point Hut Crossing and I ran home. Lovely route it was too - along the Murrumbidgee past Pine Island (defo scope for an o-map around here), up to Urambi Hills, through Kambah, and up Taylor from behind. Got really tired from about 50mins in - combination of the sun, heat, hills and my cold still lingering.

Running 41:00 [3] 8.3 km (4:56 / km)

Fairly late hit out on Taylor having already had a couple of beers. Good to get out though for some fresh air, even if my legs were pretty bad. Whilst not a bad cold, this one has lingered about a bit.

Running 39:00 [3] 8.4 km (4:39 / km)

Lunch run on Red Hill. Up Flinders to the saddle, then along the ridge top to the road, and the usual way down. Very enjoyable and a cracker of a day.

Running 50:00 [3] 10.3 km (4:51 / km)

HFW with Tomas. Took him the back way behind Mugga so to speak. The trail there has been re-routed since I last did it so that more of it is single-track, which was nice.

Orienteering race 13:08 [5] 3.3 km (3:59 / km)

Bit of a lung-buster at Black Mt peninsula. Very fast and easy course (nature of the area though), and knew I was up against Marty so had to push pretty hard. Despite my lingering cold, didn't feel too bad. Lungs quite sore at the end though. Marty would've smashed me by 30secs+ but looks like he punched the wrong pivot control 2nd time round. Still, he's obviously navigating well at speed so won't be long before he's able to take out some major sprint races at least. Good to be able to compare splits against a proper fast runner too - we were 1sec apart after 4:45, but he took 23 secs out of me over the next 4:30, and 18 secs over the last 3 controls.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Still got a bit of a head cold. Florence pointed at my orange juice this morning and said 'beer'. Is that bad?

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Cold's progressing a bit - really not very severe but definitely best not to run.
