Running race (Coastal Classic) 2:26:30 [5] 29.8 km (4:55 / km)

Lovely race along the coast of the Royal National Park just south of Sydney (from Otford to Bundeena). Ran well and led for the first ~18km. There were 5 sec start intervals so I started after, but caught up to, Mark Green who I ran with til here. Then got very tired and slowed a lot and he got away. Hung on to 2nd though. Happy with that as it was easily my longest run since the Six Foot, and that didn't exactly go well. Beautiful sunny day and some very spectacular cliff-top scenery. In some ways the terrain reminded me of running along the edge of Kinder.

Orienteering 55:00 [3] 9.4 km (5:51 / km)

Night training at Stromlo set by Shep and hung by Jo. With Shep and Parto. Have learnt from previous experiences here to avoid the crap at all costs which means stopping at each control and carefully planning a route. This is true even more so at night. Glad to do alright. Saw a wombat.
