Orienteering race 25:33 [5] 5.0 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 X-talon 212

Majura Pines - ACT state league race. Nice open pine forest and Jase had planned the ideal course for the area - control picking keeping you mainly off the paths (of which there were a lot of fiddly, wiggly ones). All about direction and distance today. I got it pretty much spot on and dug in, and ended up having a near perfect run - definitely one of my best runs for a while.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)

Orienteering race 29:00 [4] 5.0 km (5:48 / km)

Saturday event on Red Hill - proper Sheffield weather today. Not a difficult area, but quite enjoyed the course - kept me off paths quite a lot and a few route choices. Felt pretty good, but definitely aware that my current 'feeling good' speed is slower than it has been recently.

Running 47:00 [3] 10.0 km (4:42 / km)

Ran to the event from home and back again afterwards.

Note
(rest day)

It's becoming increasingly difficult to train on a Friday.

Running 1:02:00 [3] 13.0 km (4:46 / km)

Night run with headtorch on Mt Ainslie and Hackett Hill - saw a lot of roos and possums. I also liberated a footpath that had been closed.

Running 39:00 [3] 8.0 km (4:53 / km)
shoes: Brooks Defyance

Roady run with Gracie round the Parliamentary zone.

Running 1:01:00 [3] 13.0 km (4:42 / km)

Headtorchy run up Davo and Redders. Slightly concerned by the lack of roos for 25mins or so, especially as I hadn't seen any on my 'run' on Sunday. It turned out they hadn't been murdering them here though, as I saw plenty after that. Lovely clear evening, enjoyed the twinkling lights from the ridge-top.

Running 58:00 [3] 13.0 km (4:28 / km)
shoes: Brooks Defyance

Tarmacy run on roads and cyclepaths round the lake and Forrest. Felt fine but a bit cold and a bit sleepy.
