Running race (Exterminator) 2:12:00 [5]
shoes: adidas swoops

Pretty soon it was a 4 horse race between Little Rob, Baker, Neil and I. It was a nice day and I was really enjoying it. Neil faded a bit down to the pumping house, so it was down to 3-way race for the win. I hung back slightly pretending to be a bit jaded, before making my move by taking Mike's maverick route choice to the last check point, while the Robs went up Padley gorge. Put the boot in, found the trig point then looked across to see the 2 Rob's floundering in waste-high heather in a Blacka bog. Rob charitably gave me a wave, but even from across the vast distance I'd managed to pull out I could see that he was seething. Had enough time to cruise home. John Morgan came from nowhere (he started late) to get up to 3rd behind Baker (who was running really well). I doubt I'd have won if we all went the same way, but I was really pleased to take another victory. I guess I should've/could've done alright at WOC - I feel like I was a bit unlucky in both qualifiers, but I probably should've run a bit better. Meh.

Not much point doing any more than this for a race of this ilk.

Running race (Longshaw Sheepdog Trials) 40:11 [5]
shoes: adidas swoops

Came down to return the trophy which I won in farcical fashion last year (remember that OJ?), but managed to win it back again. Up against B8ND and Little Rob, but they were both fatigued from a race last night. Little Rob set off like Little Rob always does, so it was a tough start. Got ahead a bit on the decent down Burbage Brook, then Rob faded a bit on the plummet, but B8ND came back and almost caught me, but I managed to hang on. We actually chatted after and he actually seemed like a nice man, although it was funny that his car got stuck in the field.

Running 1:01:00 [4]
shoes: Asics Trabuco

A lap of Eccup Reservoir from home - mostly quite a boring run, but not too bad with the music - I had to check that it really was on random when Tunnel of Love, Sultans of Swing and Brothers in Arms all came on in succession. Ended up pushing hardish in places so that I would get home sooner.

Wet day in the Lakes - had to abandon the plan of going up Scafell Pike. Grace looked gutted. Did a bit of a drive instead, then went for a walk on Tarn Hows and up Black Fell. They've got a permanent trail-o course there.
