Neil had a good run on first leg, coming back 37th and I pulled us up to 20th, and we ended up finishing 16th. A good day for VSOK! Really pleased with my run - it was very fast and furious and hard work all the way. Didn't lose much time - only small wobbles. Got myself up onto JD's pack, but they had a slightly shorter final loop so got ahead of me at the finish. I had the long gaffle I tell you! Pleased with running speed this weekend. Also pleased with the weather.

Orienteering race (Spring Cup Classic) 1:13:28 [5]

35th place. Not great, but plenty of positives. I was one of the many who had trouble with the first 2 controls - lost around 3mins here. Wouldn't have done anything different if I was to have another go at it, so not disappointed - it was poor course setting/mapping. Then I caught Barrable (who'd lost around 5mins) and we ran together. Only small wobbles after that and pleased with my running speed. 3mins faster would've been up in around 15th, although a lot of other people lost time too. Anyway, glad I was running alright as I was feeling tired out there.
