Bert dropped me somewhere above the Springs after we'd driven up Mt Wellington, and I ran home via Junction Cabin and Breakneck. Got a bit lost and ended up in Lenah Valley, but found my way home via a bit of trespassing.
Bert's Christmas orienteering course at the Waterworks. 2.7km with about 200m climb on the first 2 controls and then some thick scrub - thanks Bert! Good fun though and nice to explore some new bits for me. Got caught out and lost a couple of minutes on the descent when I was able to move a bit quicker. Then a BBQ with lots of friends.
Orienteering (Red Hill - Twilight) 36:00 [4] 6.0 km (6:00 / km)
Really good course and map with lots of short tricky legs and detailed vegetation detail. Also quite tough and I was feeling very tired. Kept it clean though.
Lunch run with Tomas exploring the turf place by the river in Fyshwick. Good to find a new loop from work although not the most beautiful. Intervals around some of those big circles could be a laugh.
