Cycling (kerns) 1:30:00 [3] 15.0 km (6:00 / km)

Trying out my new bike. Norco Storm.

Seems really cool, I like the disc brakes and it seems really stable. It's a bit longer than my Rocky so some of the tight turns and the technical stuff was a bit off. I smashed up one of the pedal already so off to mec to get some real ones.

My ride was uneventful really except when Chris bailed on his bike. Thought he was dead. He wasn't but he decided to slide on the hard trail for a bit and ended up with some real nice burn on his arm, side and hip.

Here is his arm:

Cycling (Upper Middle) 25:50 [3] 10.0 km (2:35 / km)

Fun ride today. Was pushing really hard and got exactly 25:50 into my ride when I decided to push the worlds largest thorn into my front tire.

Normally this would not be an issue. I quickly jump off the bike and removed my front wheel. Then I went to get my tire levers.. but guess what? I biked with wetware a few weeks back and he still has one of mine. (since it has a allen key he was using to tighten his seatpost)

Kinda sucks but a little work and i get the tire off. Sure enough mega-thorn has punched a man size hole in my inner tube and managed to puncture both sides all the way through.

No big deal I got a spare - with a huge hole in it. shit. neither tire can hold air even for a a few seconds and i have no patch kit.

This concludes my bike ride.

Running (Upper Middle) 28:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:00 / km)

For those of you reading my bike ride story you will wonder how did i get home with two flat tires. Well running is the answer.

Running with a bike sucks. On a positive note everyone who passed was totally starring at me. I'm sure thinking "holy crap that guys is so hardcore he runs with his bike"

And I overheard a child ask their mother why I was running with my bike. The mothers reply "To show the bike what real speed feels like", it was a little muffled so maybe it was a bit different but you get the idea.

This concludes my running/dragging a bike portion of my training.
