run (Harriers Pt Moore) 31:41 intensity: (2:39 @2) + (5:01 @3) + (24:01 @4) 7.81 km (4:03 / km) +2m 4:03 / km

Harriers sand run. Got there late, so no warm up, but really enjoyed today.

Except for the massive blisters on the bottom of my big toes (lots of cars drive this stretch of beach, so the sand is super firm and I was too stubborn to run in the soft stuff just to save my feet. Didn't think it would be too bad until the one on my right foot popped.

Gonna be a mess to clean up and running in the next week or two will be challenging at best.

10 min WU, 50 min steady but pretty easy, 30 min harder, 15 min CD.

Didn't feel as bad as I expected, but really I have no idea why I didn't just head outside for a real bike ride.

Trying to remember how to push on a bike. Efforts felt fairly hard, but the speed that I recovered from each one says I wasn't working hard enough.

run 37:47 [3] 8.1 km (4:40 / km)
shoes: Wave Rider 17 Rainbow

Had to drop the kids at Physie this afternoon, so had 40 minutes to squeeze a run in. Wasn't sure this was a good idea one hour after lunch (a can of baked beans) but hoped I could survive something steady and not very long.

Happily I felt better than I expected. Sore at the top of one hammy? as expected from weeding on the weekend, but this eased off pretty well inside the first kilometre and felt pretty good other than that.

A 'better than nothing' effort on the bike. Working steadily for the most part, but not too hard. Threw in 15 minutes harder near the end that was starting to get uncomfortable - from memory at the same intensity that I held for much longer during the TdF, so great signs there for Wild West Bike tour in less than 2 weeks!
