Adventure Racing 7:30:00 [4]

Major shout out to Bash for the loan of her bike. It climbed great and I really needed that this race. No issues for me on the bike, phew.
I am bringing it by tomorrow on our way to the airport.

Adventure Racing 14:00:00 [4]

Well this is going to be short until I have more time bit I did want to say how much I love racing with a good team, as in a team that gets along well, suffers well together, works well together, eats pulled pork sandwiches well together.

The Equinox Traverse isn't exactly my kind of race but the team I raced with made up for it. Too much road.....waaaaay too much road. Anyway it was rogaine style and we planned to start getting everything but missed one early by mistake. Oops. Maps were folded and we didn't see one. Raced well through most stuff and nav was great. We also didn't have all of the supplementary maps that some other teams had (something else that I think is a little lame). That would never happen at a getawaystix event! So we did the best we could which worked out most of the time.

I the end we dropped 3 cps, one by accident and likely didn't take the best route back on the bike and maybe could have picked up one more but it was all good enough for second place. Solid effort by the team.

Some funny stories to come but my favorite moment was when Harps almost stepped on a fawn (not the funny part) and then recoiled in horror at what could have been. When it took off he exclaimed how cute it was and that now he missed his daughter Sara. The steely look was gone for a fleeting moment.

Hansel set a nice fast pace off the start and Relentless fulfilled his duties one again b y carrying some of my gear. The good news is that I managed to stay off of a tow line the entire race and I can walk almost normally today.

More detes later.....likely much later as Weeanimal and I board a plane tomorrow to France to reunite with Phatty once again. She was calling out for her Daddy today so I hope the trip goes b y quickly (wishful thinking).

Mountain Biking 50:00 [3]

Scooted out for a quick ride to test out Bash's bike that I am borrowing for the Equinox Traverse this weekend. I jacked the seat up and with some air in the shocks I should be good to go. Thanks a million Bash! I'll buy you a pain au chocolat and some nice zfrench wine when you come over for UTMB next year.
