Orienteering race 38:24 [5] 6.0 mi (6:24 / mi)
London cityrace. 50 today. M50 today: The main target for the autumn.
Arrived to find Tim Tett and Quentin Harding had snuck in late entries. Win chances deteriorated.
Set off smooth and steady, ten steps wrong way, & stop at 4, -20sec unnecessary steps up at 10 (not reading dix) with workmen carrying stuff up and down - 10sec. Stuff happens. Then disaster, procedural error - 12-14 cost 40 seconds and the race. Eyeballs out from there, but ended up 39sec down on Quentin. Suppose he is World Champion, but this could have been the day, bugger bugger bugger.
2nd / 169 Curse of INT.
All the map geeking on the barbican came to nowt as we didn't go there, course was fun but nothing special. Next year.
